6 Degrees Ep 06: Sweet Beginnings...

It’s Saturday afternoon, and Ellen has been spending the day with her cousins, Brianna and Diedre. What better place to take them for lunch than the Boa Boa Cafe!

Ellen: Ok, Girls, what do you want to order?
Brianna and Deidre: Cupcakes!!
Ellen: Maybe one cupcake for each of you, but only one.

While Ellen helps the girls order foods that are not pure sugar, Zoe walks in.

Ellen: Hi Zoe!
Zoe: Oh, hi Ellen! I didn’t expect to see you here.
Ellen: My cousins are visiting, so I thought it would be nice to bring them here for lunch. Girls, say hello to Zoe.

Briana and Diedre: Hello, Zoe.
Zoe: Hello! Aww, they’re too cute!! I don’t want to interrupt, though.
Ellen: It’s alright, we're waiting on our orders anyway. Did you get a chance to talk to your aunt?

Zoe: No. I was going to talk to her last week, but she left for a lecture series at Berkeley, and will be there for the rest of the semester. I think this is something we should talk about face to face, so I’ll wait until she gets back. And then the worst thing ever happened yesterday! Takeo and I had this big argument, and we haven’t spoken since!!
Ellen: Wow, Zoe. I’m sorry to hear that. We’ll have to play catch-up next week. There’s been a lot going in my life too. By the way, do you know anyone who's looking for a roommate?
Zoe: Uhhm, no. Why do you know someone who needs one?
Ellen: Yeah, me. Neve is moving in with a friend of hers, and I need to find a roommate by the end of the month.
Zoe: I thought you and Never were so close.
Ellen: Well, we’re roommates, but we're not exactly best friends. She’s ok sometimes, mostly because she’s hardly ever around, but she is messy, and I won’t miss catching Neve and random guys going at it on the couch.
Zoe: Ewww, you mean they were making out?
Ellen: Umm, no. They were well past the “making out” stage.
Zoe: Ewwww!!
Ellen: Tell me about it!

Brianna: They were doing the nasty!
Ellen: Brianna! She gets that from my aunt.

Ellen: Besides that, Neve hardly ever washed dishes, she left food laying around, she left her clothes all over the place, she left her shoes in the living room...Well, you get the idea. Definitely let me know if you know someone who needs a place to live, and isn’t too crazy.

Zoe: What about me?
Ellen: You?
Zoe: I could be your roommate!
Ellen: Don’t you already have an apartment?
Zoe: Yeah, but with me traveling so much, it really is a waste to pay full rent at a place I’m not even at half the time. Besides, we already know each other! Oh and I’m neat! And I’ve already seen the apartment!
Ellen: Oh well, I guess…
Zoe: Please! Please! I can give my current place 30 days notice, but I will pay you in advance for next month's rent.

Ellen: Oh well in that case, ok!
Zoe: Oh yay!!! When can I come by to sign the lease?
Ellen: How about next Wednesday? I can get off work early and we can meet at 3:30pm..
Zoe: Ok! That sounds great! See you then!!
